Deposits and Final Payment
A non-refundable deposit of USD $1,000 per person is required to reserve your place on a workshop. A reservation is not confirmed until the required deposit has been received.
The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to the workshop start date, unless otherwise stated for a specific workshop.
Reservations made fewer than 90 days before the workshop start date require payment in full at the time of booking.
If final payment is not received by the due date, Photograph Italy reserves the right to cancel the reservation. In such cases, all deposits and payments will be subject to the cancellation policy below.
Cancellation by Participant
All cancellations must be submitted in writing and are subject to the timeline below.
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.
Exceptions: Any request for an exception to the cancellation policy due to illness, injury, or other extraordinary circumstances must be submitted in writing and may require supporting documentation. Approval of any exception is at the sole discretion of Photograph Italy.

Cancellation by Photograph Italy
Photograph Italy reserves the right to cancel a workshop for any reason, including insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If a workshop is canceled by Photograph Italy, all payments made to Photograph Italy will be refunded in full. This refund constitutes the full extent of Photograph Italy’s liability. Participants are responsible for any additional expenses, including airfare, accommodations, travel arrangements, visa fees, or other costs. For this reason, we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance.
Force Majeure – Photograph Italy shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, itinerary changes, or inability to perform due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, government actions, travel restrictions, civil unrest, war, terrorism, labor disputes, transportation disruptions, or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Other Considerations:
Passport and Identification – Participants are responsible for obtaining and carrying a valid passport and any required visas. For most destinations, passports should be valid for at least six months beyond the date of return. Please verify the current entry requirements for your destination before traveling.
Prices Subject to Change – Prices are subject to change until a reservation has been confirmed and the required deposit has been received. After confirmation, the workshop price is guaranteed except in the event of extraordinary government-imposed taxes or fees beyond our control.
Responsibility – Curto Projects, LLC, doing business as Photograph Italy, acts solely as an organizer and coordinator of workshop services. We do not own, operate, or control the airlines, hotels, restaurants, transportation providers, guides, museums, or other suppliers that provide services during our workshops. All such providers are independent contractors and are responsible for their own operations and conduct.
Accordingly, Photograph Italy is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, expense, or other claim arising from the acts, omissions, negligence, or default of any independent supplier or other third party.
Photography workshops are conducted in active public environments and international destinations where schedules, weather, transportation, local conditions, and other circumstances may require changes. We reserve the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, transportation, activities, or schedules whenever necessary or advisable. Such changes are occasionally necessary and do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating in the workshop and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and instructions provided by workshop leaders and local authorities. Photograph Italy reserves the right to decline or remove any participant whose conduct, health, or behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or materially interferes with the experience of others. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times. Photograph Italy is not responsible for loss of, theft of, or damage to baggage, camera equipment, or other personal property.
By submitting a reservation and payment, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
Airline and Airport Taxes and Charges – Airline taxes, fuel surcharges, security fees, airport charges, and other government-imposed fees are not included unless specifically stated. These charges are determined by the applicable providers and are subject to change.
Baggage – Due to limited space in our private transportation, each participant is limited to one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Please consult your airline regarding baggage size and weight restrictions.
Refunds – No refunds will be issued for unused accommodations, meals, transportation, activities, or other services included in a workshop. Photograph Italy reserves the right to correct any typographical, billing, or pricing errors.
Physical Activity – All Italy Photography Workshop destinations require a fair amount of walking, hill-climbing and physical activity. A typical day involves walking 3 to 5 miles and climbing/descending the equivalent of 10 to 20 flights of stairs. Please ask if you have questions about the physical demands.
Participants Needing Special Assistance – Photograph Italy is unable to provide individual physical assistance during workshops. Participants who require such assistance should travel with a companion who can provide the necessary support.
Arbitration Agreement – Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating in any way to these Terms and Conditions, to the Responsibility Clause, to the brochure, to the website, or any other information relating in any way to the trip, or to the trip itself, shall be settled solely and exclusively by binding arbitration in Wisconsin, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association then existent.
